Review: DHC Acerola Lotion

I love the feeling of using toner or lotion which some may call it. The purpose of a toner/lotion is to clear off any residue that might still stays on skin even after cleansing action and to prepare the skin for skincare routine. I personally enjoy patting my face after cleansing with a cotton pad that i soak with the toner/lotion.

I had always been interested in DHC stuffs, so i got Amy to CP this toner for me sometime back. Acerola is actually an Anti-Aging Skincare Range by DHC. My skin is starting to step into the mature age so i decided to start preparing for that.

Introduction of Acerola Lotion (extracted from DHC site)

Tropical punch. Made from acerola berries, one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, this enlivening formula can help your skin ward off the free radical damage that can cause visibly uneven skin tone and fine lines. Layer it underneath DHC Acerola Gel for an even stronger punch of fruity benefits, so skin appears more radiant.

how does the introduction sounds to you?

The toner comes in a heavy reddish glass bottle.

With very minimal explanation unless you gonna visit the site.

My Review:
This product does live up to its name at least i can vouch for its brightening effect as i can feel my skin starts to get brighter than before. My skin was whiten, while i'm using the ZA whitening toner. But this DHC toner is totally different, it just brighten up my complexion and makes me look more radiant & its natural as its mentioned in the intro. Few days after i started on this i noticed that my skin had turn smoother to touch and as the days goes by skin starts to glow (i mean glowing radiant). I would love to try its gel, a brightening moisturizer ... It took me more than a month to hit pan totally on this! I would love to re-purchase, probably when there is a SALE.

The main ingredient, Acai Berry are growing fame recently as its widely used for dietary supplement and its antioxidant (to fight against aging)

Suitable for: Normal/Oily Skin Type
Capacity: 100ml/3.3 oz
Price: SGD33.00, available at watsons
Its also available online via http://www.dhccare.com @ USD17.00 each

Any toner to recommend to me?

Review: Skincology Vitamin K Eye Cream

I had been exploring lotsa Taiwanese brand products as i had neglected them for really long time. They were purchased thru my gf during her relocation trip back to SG last year so i made a long list of items for her to purchase for me since the shipping was free.

this eye creme got me lemming for quite some time as it says to contain vitamin K (something u need to fight dark circle). My dark circle is getting from bad to worse these days due to insufficient rest and lack of healthy diet i guess!

It comes in a transparent pump bottle, which lets you see the content. Its useful so you can estimate when its running out.

Simple instructions printed on the back of the bottle.

For those who can read chinese, this eye creme is for brightening eye area, improve dullness and moisturize.

The manufactured date and expiry date is printed on the bottom of the bottle unlike some which uses sticker labels.

This is how it looks like when i hitted pan.

My review:
I had hitted pan on this one already! I would say its indeed moisturising for my eye area keep fine lines at bay when i had makeup on for hours daily. It does improve the dullness of my eye area too, as for dark circle its still present. But like i mentioned, dark circle may be due to poor blood circulation, diet or lack of rest. But its definitely a good choice for eye creme not too rich and easy to absorb too.

the price of this eye creme is NT450/SGD22.50/USD15 so its actually pretty affordable!

I would re-purchase if i have the chance too but till then i would have to finish my boxes of skincare + cosmetics.

Nail Swatch: Majolica Majorca Artistic Nails in PK217 Milk Candy

As promised, here's the 2nd polish i got from majolica Majorca latest series. Its named Milky Candy. I love this shade too, its exactly soft looking like the Hot Milk that i swatched recently.

Above shown the old vs new packaging. if you notice the shape of the new bottle is more pear shaped than the previous cute square like. The new packaging is more princessy and classy look. But fret not, the content is exactly the same. I might be picking up more of these cute little polish as full 15ml ones are taking too much spaces and impossible to finish.

by the way, i've been wearing hot milk for the past two weeks and now!

the winner for the giveaway is adin_22 (陳亞任)! Congrats... i'll be posting an email to you shortly... Ohhh and sorry that i hasnt reply your previous mail!!

A Sponge away to Flawless Makeup!

I was given a chance to try out the TOFU Professional Makeup Sponge. Makeup Sponges are popular among makeup artists as they can spread the foundation more evenly on skin to create the flawless look. Frankly speaking, i had never try using makeup sponges for applying foundation. My fingers are my tools in spreading them but since i'm given a chance, i decided to give it a go.

I received these 3 lovely pack of sponges from Sharon.

This is the Tofu-like packaging one. For those who had bought Tofu from supermarket would know what i mean. It really reminds me of Tofu.

Side view of the Tofu-Like packaging. The side and bottom are transparent so you can spot the content.

Details of Distributor and Japanese Language explanation?

Its sealed and you just have to peel off the top from the side.

I was surprised that they actually double seal the sponge. Other than the outer box, they actually packed the sponge in sealed plastic.

Each pack contains two pcs so for one set, there are 2pcs x 2 = 4 pcs in total!

They are cut in a way, the sponges still sticks together to form the rectangle shape.

Sample of how the sponges look like after seperated.

This is the same product BUT in lovely heart shaped! really sweet looking.

Simply peel open the pack like you do with snack.

Look at this heart-shaped sponge, its really cute and in sealed plastic packaging too.

The heart are also held together.

Next is the sponge pact in zip-lock pack, its a for travel pack.

There are two sponge pact in each pack.

Introduction from Japalang.com on TOFU:

Foundation has nothing to do with your makeup's finishing look. With TOFU, anyone can do makeup like the top professionals without any technique needed! It's not just about using the right foundation; it is also about using the right tool.

More info:
  • Made of supreme quality patented non-latex material
  • Free of synthetic rubber (latex)
  • Very small bubbles in the foam to better control the amount of foundation going on your skin for smooth and even makeup
  • Good elasticity & does not get out of shape easily
  • Can be used dry or wet, comes in different shapes
  • High durability for repeated use
My Review:

I personally only tried the 1st type in Tofu-Like packaging! As i mentioned, i never try using makeup sponges in applying foundation so i wasn't used to the feeling of that initially but now i'm loving it! The good thing about using the makeup sponge is that my liquid foundation can now be more evenly spread leaving no fingerprints behind. I can double conceal hideous spot by applying a dabbing motion with the concealer using the makeup sponge. In case you ask, i only tried using this dry so i'm not sure how does the wet one goes? I had been hooked on using this for the past week and guess i'm addicted to the finish that it does to my skin.

Where to Purchase?
Item is available at Watsons store at

SGD15.90 for the TOFU DX - tofu shaped type (2pcs x 2 sets = 4 pcs)

SGD12.90 for the TOFU Travel - sponge pact (2 pcs)

Tiny Giveaway for all (Worldwide):

I would like to share the complimentary TOFU Love (only the outer packaging is open but sponge still intact in sealed plastic inner packaging) with all my readers. Its Brand New, just the packaging was damaged as i remove item for phototaking but don't worry its still sealed in the protection plastic.

Review: PDC Oh My God Perfect Gel (6 in 1 Cleansing Solution)

Hello Monday everyone!

Hows everyones weekend so far! Mine was a lazy one... as i spend time lazing around doing almost nothing except some reviews haha..

I received a very lovely package from Sharon (Japalang.com.sg or BeautyCarousel) She packed me some new products, some newly released and some to be release stuffs. Which is why, i'm so excited to try them out!

She is so sweet to deco even the envelope with my name on it!

Today, i'm reviewing the yet to be release amazing product from PDC, guess this is sort of a dream product for lazy bum like me who wants to be pretty and yet less effort spent.

This is PDC latest invention that fulfil all your needs in one bottle:
  • Makeup Removal (simply apply on face & wipe off using cotton pad, wash off is not necessary
  • Facial Cleanser
  • Toner
  • Essence
  • Emulsion
  • Moisturiser (contains hyaluronic acid, collagen and ceramide that moisturises your skin.

This is the PDC Oh My God Perfect Gel, the name of the product sounds exacting like how react after trying out.

The packaging is very pretty in black bottle with metallic pink paper cover. I love the prints on the paper cover.

Here's some wordings printed on the bottle in jap.

Easy & hygienic to use pump design.

Its a semi transparent white gel. above shows a slight pump of the application. The smell reminds me of berry, according to the info provided its angel berry scent.

In order to test this gel, i used the 3 hard to remove stuff like
K-Palette Eyeliner
(i had reviewed this previously, its not easy to remove thus the long lasting power.)

K-Palette Eyebrow Liner
(i love this as it stays in place all day strictly no touch up even if you sweat!)

Majolica Majorca Jewel Eye Palette
(Like many, i love shimmery eyeshadow as they can make my eyes stand out but i totally hate the portion, removing the makeup. I always end up with some shimmer residue on my eye or cheek area. )

Above shows the result of slight massaging with the gel! OMG! Its cleansing very well isn't it. I would say it works so much better than some of the cleansing oil i used so far.

Another OMG pic! I specially zoom in slightly so you can spot there is not a single shimmer in sight! I'm impressed but that's not all.

I added Majolica Majorca Mascara into the challenge... (note: Majolica Majorca produce one of the toughest to be remove mascara which is why they are also one of the long lasting one, you can try wearing them and go for swim they are really that waterproof and rub proof)

This amazing product can really remove the Majolica Majorca Mascara, but this time with a bit more effort. I remove it by massaging it for slightly longer time as compare to the other makeup.

I'm gonna test out again tonight on how it can remove my full gear makeup, i had Max Factor Foundation, Legere BB loose powder, Kevin BeautyMaker blusher,Kiss Me Long & Curl Mascara, l'oreal eyeliner,K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Black.

Stay tune for a more detailed review

in case if you are curious about this product its available in Sasa from September 2010 onwards, i'm not sure if it has started to hit the shelf but you can try popping by their stores to check it out and also try it out yourself for the OMG effect!

Swatch: NARS Orgasm Blush

Hi All,

Time passes really fast, its already wednesday! mid week... I had make plans for tonight, dining out with my besties and gonna have western Italian food. I'm not sure whats its about and also to pick up my hauls from my gf which i got her to get for me on her recent biz trip. I bought some kiss me mascaras, beauty buffet masks, some bb creams etc.

Stay tune for my next post and i also have some review in the making, they are products sent to me specially for review.. I start to love some of them!

today, i'm sharing swatches and reviews of the Famous NARS blush in orgasm which i think you might have seen many such reviews..

I got mine from Evonnz, She's a pretty, lovely local blogger that i got to know from the blogsphere! She is also the one who influence me to try out color lens! Visit her and you will know why...

Back to the review, its packaged in a rubbery case which might bother some as the material will deteriorate as times goes by... so far its ok as i normally carry the box along haha
fast snap of the ingredients..
The blush comes with a NARS wordings printed transparent sheet to protect the blush. I'm keeping that too.
Its a rosy pink color with gentle shimmers in it.
The color payoff was good as per it was raved about.. I personally like blushes that comes with a mirror case as i prefer to touch up using loose powder than compact powder...

i hasn't got any new blushes recently but i did added a few makeup base... whats is your recent addiction?
